Space
The theme of this DJ set I created while writing the first draft of my novel, The Beautiful World of the Alive, is Space—not literal space, but the ecstatic space experienced by lovers who consent to exchange their power within a dominant and submissive dynamic.
In this dynamic, true dominance isn’t about displaying power but about the restraint shown to the submissive. In their vulnerable state, the submissive reveals what it truly means to wield power.
The dance of give and take, of their trust—the pushing and pulling of emotions—the constant testing of the dominant’s worthiness. And when that’s demonstrated, the lovers become free to experience sensations similar to the ones felt while listening to this DJ set, of floating in space, until the moment when the dominant expresses their joy through the aftercare of their submissive as they return to the ordinary world.
